Job Description
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and organized Locavore to join our team at Sunflower Farm Market. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about supporting a vibrant local food community. Locavores work independently, take initiative, solve problems efficiently, and provide outstanding service to both customers and fellow team members.
Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet customers and CSA members, answer questions, and assist as needed.
- Checkout Operations: Operate cash registers and POS system, handle payments, and issue receipts.
- Stocking & Merchandising: Stock shelves, organize products, rotate stock, and maintain visually appealing displays.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the store clean and orderly, including dusting and floor care.
- Product Knowledge: Stay informed about products, provide recommendations, and share information with customers.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow store safety protocols, report hazards, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Inventory Management: Assist with deliveries, restocking, and organizing stockroom areas.
Skills / Qualifications
- Desire to work in a mission-driven business
- Retail experience preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of POS systems and cash handling procedures a plus
- Flexibility to work scheduled and additional hours
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and systems
Position Details
- Part-time: 5-15 hours/week
- Pay: $12.50 + perks
